11/27 Lake D - I've really been trying to be a better bass angler these past couple seasons and a lot of an anglers
success out there can be attributed to their knowledge of bass movement under certain conditions. Right now there
is a pretty good fall/winter pattern going and when you have confidence that the fish are there and biting its time to
be on the water. I made my way out again to chase smallies and largemouth. No smallies on this day but the
largemouth fishing was pretty good. Caught 8 fish with the largest two fish going 4.6 and 3.4. Not huge, but thats a
good day of bass fishing for a public lake.

Interestingly I would catch the same fish that I caught a couple weeks previously. It was tagged by the DFG. Good to
see she put on some weight from the last time. Found her in the same haunt as well. What makes this interesting is
that the lake dropped about 3-4ft from the last trip so this lends me some clues. If you fish lakes that have fluctuating
water keep this in mind. As long as there is something to relate to, these fish will not wander too far. If you were
catching fish in an area that is now dry, look for the nearest area just like it.
